Ozenumahan ”Chozo Hut”

Chozo Hut is a long-established wooden building built back in 1934. It is conveniently located to allow for a walk around Ozenuma Lake or a climb on Mt. Hiuchigatake. As it is just a short distance to the Lake, you can stroll around or enjoy taking photos even after supper. Chozo Hut is an hour’s walk from “Numayama Toge (pass),” the gateway to Oze on the Fukushima Prefecture side, and three hours’ walk from “Oshimizu,” the gateway to Oze on the Gunma Prefecture side. Oe Marsh where alpine plants grow abundantly (from the end of May to autumn) is in close vicinity. Less crowded Kobuchizawatashiro (marsh) and Oshimizudaira (marsh) located just an hour’s walk from Chozo Hut are also recommended for a visit.
