Hokkori-no-yu is an onsen (hot springs) available to non-staying guests only and located in Kamata at the center of Katashina Village on National Route 120. It only has an indoor bath with large windows and no outdoor bath, but you can enjoy the complete view of Katashina Village from the indoor bath, as the facilities are located on a hill. The onsen’s soft and smooth water helps you recover from your fatigue. There are sections selling souvenirs, dagashi (cheap snacks) and handmade sundries as well as drinks and sweets best enjoyed after a bath. ”Hokkori” means heartwarming in Japanese. Hokkori-no-yu warms not only your body but also your heart in a home-like atmosphere.
