Katashina Kogen is the only skiing area in the Kanto region exclusively for skiers, which makes it great for a family skiing vacation.
The ski resort has been very popular among family skiers, because it has Miffy Square where children can ski, feeling safe and secure, and a free rest area where you can take off your snow boots for a break, and because a variety of moderate to gentle slopes is laid out for a safe skiing experience for the entire family. It is also known as Japan’s Official Miffy Ski Park. For accommodation, the Child Lodge with 21 cottages is situated right in the ski area. A snow vehicle carries guests from the parking lot to the Lodge, which is quite enjoyable and exciting.
